Ribble View Stud was founded in 2008 by Liz Simpson who has a wealth of experience in breeding horses and ponies due to breeding a few, select foals a year as a hobby prior to establishing RVS.

Now, Ribble View Stud is a well-established stud and AI centre with an outstanding selection of stallions and broodmares with both exceptional performance records and bloodlines. At RVS, we aim to breed outstanding quality performance horses and ponies with a common goal of producing an excellent confirmation as well as a lovely temperament. We also take semen delivery from external stallions and do the whole AI service here. There is a planned extension to enable us to do frozen semen too.

Liz has had great success in the show ring with several of her show horses including Faranella Valencia, Shuvais Taurean Spirit, Freckleton High Flyer, Bradleyfield Murphy’s Law, Francil Silas, Bombay Regal Prince and Bombay Kingfisher to name but a few. However, Liz’s time is now predominantly focused on the breeding side with just a few competition horses and youngsters coming through.

Ribble View Stud is based in a 75 acre family farm in the heart of the picturesque Ribble Valley. We have excellent transport links with being only 10 minutes from junction 31a of the M6.
